Spam, plonked.
The guy spraying his crypto site into six channels gets timed out before the seventh. Your regulars never hear from it.
What gets you plonked
Six offenses. One matcher that tracking junk, mobile domains, and short links can't fool.
Spraying the same link across channels
The classic advertiser move, and the reason plonk exists. Same link, second channel, inside the window: instant timeout.
!!timeout, on the spotReposting the same link on cooldown
Posting it once is sharing. Posting it again twenty minutes later is a campaign.
!adds heatBlowing the self-promo limit
Designate promo channels with /plonk promo add. One link per half hour there, configurable. Everywhere else has a generous flood limit normal humans donβt hit.
Coordinated link raids
Three or more accounts pushing the same link in a short window is not a coincidence. Heat stacks across the pile-on; the ladder ends it with a kick.
!!!escalates to kickDropping foreign server invites
Your own vanity invite and allowlisted partners pass. Everything else goes on the record.
!adds heatPhishing and scam links
Matched against continuously-updated scam-domain feeds. No heat buildup, no warning, no second chance. Message deleted, user gone for a day.
!!!24h timeout, on sightHeat builds. Punishment follows.
Every offense adds heat; heat decays, so grudges don't last. Repeat offenders climb faster: each new timeout doubles the last one. And when someone gets plonked, their spray gets deleted from every channel it landed in.
It watches before it acts
New servers start in monitor mode. plonk runs the full detection engine and posts exactly what it would have done to your mod channel. Nobody gets punished.
When a week of would-haves looks right, flip the switch:
/plonk mode enforce. Trusted roles and channels are exempt from the start.
Every embed (monitor or live) carries one-click Pardon, Timeout 24h, and Ban buttons so you can act without leaving the log channel.
Ready to plonk?
Invite it, point it at a mod channel, let it watch.
The spammers find out later.
